Fifty Cent just dropped an update keeping everyone on the edge about what may be his next move. The rapper and entrepreneur had to grace us with a close-up of himself looking suave in his dark suit, briskly captioning it as though it was the closing shot of a Hollywood thriller. “I haven’t been posting I’m working on something, I’ll tell you about it after the deal is signed,” along with “ALL ROADS LEAD TO SHREVEPORT 🎥 time to get busy!” FullPost2 tagged the @50centaction handle and suggested that this is way bigger than an album, isn’t it?

An aura of business followed this one out of the photo. A look of intent into the camera here, polished shine on his face there, all brushing against a beautifully blurred backdrop. Thinking about the words “power move” ricocheting inside your head would not be an exaggeration. And while we’re at it, Shreveport‘s quite a curveball. More familiar for its casinos than any imaginable film sets, the Louisiana city has pretty quietly crept up the ranks of top production spots since tax incentives came into play. TV show? Movie? Power moves behind the scenes? Well, from what 50 is holding onto, tighter than a vault, the power tease alone has got the internet abuzz.

Then followed a gush of comments. “A working man will never be hungry 💯DAT,” one fan interjected. “The internet be waiting for you to post negative sht,” another added, hinting at 50, who prides himself on his legendary trolling game. Others went on to self-promote, including an actor who said, “If you need an actor, im your guy @50cent !🙌👏”. Then a cryptic reply emanated from a fellow who calls himself “gameistobetold”: “📢 GAME IS TO BE TOLD NOT 🚫 SOLD ‼️🚨💯”. Whichever way you take it, one thing’s for sure: 50’s crowd is hyped like never before for whatever is around the corner.

Few, however, went off-topic. “#diddy he will be out soon prepare to congrats him #teamlove” and: “Chelsea Handler got you that deal cause she’s the real man in the relationship right?” (Worth noting: Handler and 50 Cent have been engaged in a faux feud of sorts for laughter). But the real standout? Despite all the noise, that Brazilian fan went: “50 🔥 o Brasil te ama” (“Brazil loves you”).

For well over a decade, 50 Cent has been in it for the hype crush. Remember his “retirement” from music, which hardly lasted long enough for him to drop a surprise album? Or the G-Unit TV takeover-from-nowhere? There is a reason why this guy lives off dangling just a little bit of information for all to cling onto. Shreveport’s film office ought to prepare itself; cameras (and chaos) won’t be far if 50 is around.

What kind of deal are we talking about, though? A Power spinoff? A documentary? Expansion of a bourbon brand? (Hey, he’s just partnered with Snoop Dogg on spirits.) Until the ink dries on it, we’ve got nothing but theories and confidence in a sharp suit-and-tie. But if history counts anything, it will be worth coming for. And I know 50 would troll the hell out of us all on the way there.
