Lynda Carter Honors Pope Francis With Heartfelt Tribute

All the memories of Pope Francis that adjoined himself to Lynda Carter, celebrated actress always known as Wonderwoman, were shared on her Twitter page through a very sentimental tribute to the great Pope. Most of what formed this mixture- strong appreciation, humor and call for action- raised much debate as heart-felt agreements as well as heated discussions.

According to Carter’s posts, “This is what happens when one is just human by papal standards when considering all of humankind.” Capping her message with the typical Lynda style is a subtle jibe at the Catholic Church “forgiving them of giving endless hours of supplication on my bony knees!” The tweet comes blessed with a photo of the Pope. Visually enhancing it with emotional impact.
The responses were impassioned and very varied in what they told. Kevin from Canada called the Pope a wonderful man, while another one lauded him as a servant and a great leader. Someone alien even called him a superhero caped in white. Not all partook in the train though. There were critics, like Carleto Berganti, who said that the behavior of the Pope leads them to idol worship which made him in turn a target of ongoing battle with justifying other users on the pontiff.
MONROE put it extremely bluntly by saying that the Pope was “owned by Satan.” Such extreme tirades received all sorts of strong retorts, including one from Dave Whiskers asking evangelical trolls whether there are times when they end struggling bored with each other. The debates simply metamorphosed into discussions concerning religion, forgiveness, and that of the role of the Catholic Church.
And here and there, in between, sprinkled some very authentic moments: One user from Argentina expressed gratitude to Carter during what is a mournfully sad day, while another expressed that the “rest in love” was the “perfect” phrase meant for the Pope. Even nonreligious types like Birdman came off as truly respectful, calling the man a great example for everyone.
Carter’s tweet also ignited the fire of debates around the Pope’s legacy. While most focused on the fact that the Pontiff had been extraordinarily caring toward the marginalized, like members of the LGBTQ+ community and the poor, they also posed the all-important question of whether being progressive truly brings one back to faith. Emotional, messy, and sometimes downright hostile-it showed how much Pope Francis made in terms of celebrity and polarization.
Then, of course, there was the humor involved. One user had the Pope now “dancing with George Floyd in the clouds,” while another started off with his Argentine roots before adding a personal touch to the worldwide debate.

In the end, Carter’s tweet did what good social media posts do-it got people arguing. Agree or disagree, interpretations proved Pope Francis’s mark on the world would be unforgotten for a long time. And hey, if nothing else, at least Lynda Carter got a laugh out of those bony knees.
