John Rich Sparks Debate On Child Predators With Bold Claim

John Rich is widely known for being a country music star and also a conservative pundit, just some wild tweeting from him has stirred people up in a frenzy of debate and some outrageously crazy conspiracy theories-all about one particular post. He capitalized on a DHS special agent’s comment about online predatory child molesters having “only two choices.” He did not elaborate on what those choices were, but his followers? So, right off the bat, a few people are ready to take up arms behind him. “Slay these predators,” one tweeted without preamble. Then another chipped in that he would volunteer to help build gallows, “Hell, I’ll even pull the lever.” Something else that stirs up pain. I do not pretend to speak for all, but the way this sits with a few folks guarantees Rich will catch Hell over it.

Another retort pulled Rich for hypocrisy.” Not that YOU really give a shit. Those people I’m talking about are probably your best friends.” Ouch. The insinuation here is that Rich or perhaps people in his inner circle don’t come off too hard on predators as he’s putting out. Another user countered, saying predators never pay for their crime if they are working: “UNLESS they work for the United States government. Then they have a lot of choices. But jail is one thing they NEVER have to worry about.”
“Keep trusting the plan!! Big thing is coming!! MASS ARRESTS!! PANIC IN DC!!!” This reply probably held siren blaring too. That stirred in a perfect storm of consensus and mockery, alongside a rather weird talk about teeth! (Twitter never disappoints.) Another user added, “They tried to jail Trump. First on the list looks to be Letitia James. NEXT.” Wait, what? Now how did we get here?
Some of the comments were more measured, praising Rich for keeping the issue in the public eye. “God bless you, John Rich… Seems like the children are being preyed upon, and not many seem to care,” said one of Rich’s well-wishers. “Thank you for never letting this die,” shared another. But even the more supportive voices have a sense of suspicion. “Those bad guys are watching from the government agency offices,” stated one commenter, suggesting this issue runs deeper than a handful of random internet creeps.
Another seemingly unconnected comment chimed in: “the world of muslim.” Nowhere to go with this; no grounding to place it in context-just tossed away like three words in the middle of a war zone. Classic Twitter.

Rich’s was an explosive tweet, with violent reproaches to conspiracy theories to head-on accusations and some very random non-sequiturs in between. Whoever stands in his corner or lays opposite is for him or against him, and one thing is certain-child predators get people riled up-and the Internet accommodates strong opinions on it.
