Rosie O’Donnell Shares Throwback Pic With Grannie And Nana

Rosie O’Donnell just uploaded on Instagram a total nostalgia bomb: herself dressed in vintage in 1975 as a small child wedged in between her grannie and nana. This black-and-white image from another world, and the comments, really lost it; crying, emotionally charged moments joined with broad-faced gratefulness.

It’s a pretty simple picture. Three generations of women, probably talking or just before someone put in a punch line. Rosie’s straightforward caption, “my grannie me and nana #1975,” gives the impression that uncomplicated posts just cut the deepest.

First to comment, Debragaita: “What a sweet photo! You’re adorable.” Then, of course, came the classic smash with “What a sweet photo! You’re adorable 💕.” Basic? Maybe. But sometimes you’ve just gotta keep it real. Laboo121 continued swinging: “I literally felt this with every fiber of my being, missing my family ohhh so badly right now.” Mood. Whole mood.

“Sang everyday pearls …. a time gone by Rosie,” wrote Bernl62. Which is, okay, a little heavy for an Instagram comment, but true. Meanwhile, nanaauntiehugs gave us the somewhat enlightening-maybe-somewhat-random quote: “It’s Tuesday all day as my Nana used to say.” No further context provided. Just vibes.

More Irish feelings were in motion with tara__nolan proclaiming, “That is the most Irish of pictures I love it and miss the old days like this ❤️.” And, rightfully so? Absolutely. There’s just something about the vibe of this picture that screams “Irish family gathering when someone’s about to tell a crazy story.”

Jeanlong2020 went full-on detective: “I know this is going to sound weird but I think Clay looks just like you here.” Who the hell is Clay? And, secondly, eh…maybe? And then the resemblance conversation kept going on with karenmeyer1109 saying, “You seriously look like your daughter Dakota here!” Genetics, huh? Never fails to get you.

Seemingly pure chaos reigned in the comments until onlydecentthinginvolved swooped in with the absolute nonsense “You know Blossum? Wait, Johnny Carson? Now everybody squeal, we got Shaquille O’Neil???” Ma’m, this is a Wendy’s.

But it was a real tear-jerker from athena.l.mcconnell: “Thank you for sharing ❤️ I loved my grandparents very much. I miss them every day. Their love inspired me to write a children’s book…” Now THAT was a comment taken on a full emotional journey.

Then there’s jmarietv8: “🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥that same rosie face..love it….gives no fucks😂.”

So yeah, in short, Rosie’s post kicked off a flood of memories, arguments, and totally out-of-context Shaq mentions. The Instagram way. What did old photos do? Hit different, family nostalgia-these are universal things you just don’t discuss; one just absorbs a good Tuesday quote for the day.

In any case, a winning throwback on Rosie’s part. No further comment.
