ICE Captures Twice Deported Criminal Alien Wanted For Double Homicide In California

According to reports, going along with his criminal activities of double homicide and others, he was a bad actor who underwent at least two separate expulsions but illegally reentered once more. The number one target for Ice Cube was therefore this man who has lately been put under intense scrutiny for immigration enforcement.

Pressuring ICE with all sorts of support were the replies to Johnson’s tweet. Jennifer Jacobson exclaimed, “Nice work!! Making America Safe Again,” while a user calling himself TheCommonVoice said, “Another dangerous criminal off the streets, courtesy of ICE. This is why we need stronger immigration enforcement.” A few were more sarcastic, with Anthony Galli having written snidely, “It’s usually after the third homicide that they learn their ways. — Some Democrat Judge probably.” With this kind of praise came commentary; one user contended, “The Democrats will probably protest for his release!” Another user ironically declared, “Surprised Newsom wasn’t there to coddle him with a blanket and kiss his forehead,” referring to California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s opposing view on immigration.

With these new lines of discussion rising alongside the arrest, renewed debates start once again on the issue of deportation policies. One user said, “Twice deported? When do we just GTMO these predators?” placing Guantanamo Bay as an alternate measure for repeat offenders. Others, such as Tim, thanked ICE: “Thank you @ICEgov for not letting @CAgovernor’s empty threats keep you from doing your job. We are grateful that someone is trying to keep United States citizens safe.”

While the great majority of the responses to the tweet poured forth praise to ICE and its actions, there were, however, underlying tensions dotted here and there and embedded in the larger swell of voices representing a divided nation on immigration. Some voices, such as Sean, spoke openly: “This makes me really happy. I could watch these videos all day.” Amanda Mallette was slightly more down-to-earth: “They’re doing a great job! We need to pray for them all; what a hard job they have to do.”

Apart from Acevedo-Duran, unknown are the almost countless other cases. However, ICE aggressively stresses that removal of violent criminals from American society is applied with utmost priority, and especially expedited deportations. But the critics would tell you that the system has seen these guys slipping through the cracks into Royally and Snugglywood multiple times.

The debate would go on forever, but with one thing that can be said with all certainty in this arrest: it has brought the issues of enforcement and deportation right before the public eye. Whether this would lead to any changes or give birth to louder arguments in cyberspace yet cannot be said. For now, however, plenty are just glad the world has one less wanted fugitive.
