Dwayne Johnson Launches Papa Tui Men’s Care Line At Walmart Just In Time For Father’s Day

With another Father’s Day coming up, The Rock wants to ensure good smells for all dads out there. The Rock said, with a lot of humor and plenty of emotional storytelling, that Papa Tui, a few-time award-winning men’s care brand, has now landed on Walmart shelves across the nation and online.

Papa Tui was named after Johnson’s late grandfather, Samoan High Chief Peter Maivia, a man who was also the inspiration behind Johnson’s character Maui in Disney’s Moana. Johnson posted a photo in which the two men looked sharp on either side of the camera with the caption, “Those are two handsome men right there.” In true Rock style, it was half-romantic and half-cocky.
The products range across body wash, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, antiperspirant, and even tattoo aftercare- maybe The Rock’s ink is so special after all. “I have no idea what ‘unleash your inner Papa Tui’ means,” Johnson confessed, “but it sounds cool” Now that is probably the most honest marketing slogan to be vocalized.
Johnson’s dedicated fan base was quick to react. One user exclaimed, “I will check that out,” while another questioned if the line made it to Canada. Another fan, having no decorum whatsoever, replied “Man you are look good this morning” followed by some suggestive emojis that we’d rather not decipher.
Then, there were statements leaning towards being downright critical: One called Johnson a “Samoan Scott Baio” and had a few words to say about prices, while another ironically told him to “go drink your piss tequila and count your money.” Ouch. Yet one more profitable business venture is his tequila brand Teremana-especially given this is not an unpopular brand, of course.
Even weirder: someone asked if the line had “products for… keeping certain male anatomy smelling clean and fresh.” We’re willing to bet that is not part of the current lineup, so nope.
Several comments just bypassed men’s care products and proceeded with the demands- one guy wanted wrestling training from Johnson, and another begged him to bring WrestleMania to Vancouver in 2027. Because when The Rock posts, that is the last thing half the world will want to miss.
One usually insightful comment read, “Everyone doesn’t have fathers in their lives, unfortunately,” adding a little bit of realness to the Father’s Day marketing push. Johnson’s message about honoring father-figures hit home for many-lack of perfect timing notwithstanding. Another commenter who claimed to be Samoan wrote, “Oh, man. Worst time to drop this. Read the room uso,” though this person did not specify what was wrong with the timing.
The Papa Tui line is one more in a long line of successful business ventures for Johnson, who has fluidly moved from wrestling to Hollywood to business. Among others, that impressive list contains his tequila brand, production company, and whatever else is in the works. The Rock just might be the hardest-working man in showbiz. Now, he wants to make sure you’re smelling great while watching one of his movies.

So, whether for dad, granddad, or just yourself, Papa Tui is now available on Walmart shelves. That is if you can just avoid asking The Rock about ball sweat in the comments.
