This bilingualism granted Kurylenko a golden moment to shine as an actress in the thriller ‘Other,’ and much is being said in praise for her performance. The other release of the film is slated for July 9, during the time in which Kurylenko shot in English and French for the first time-ever in the same project with ‘Other.’

Kurylenko spoke about that unique situation of working on a movie twice in a behind-the-scenes clip by Steph Chermont. “I don’t feel like the same person when I speak French versus English,” she says. “We shot two versions of the same film—same story, same scenes, but entirely different takes.” Blocking meant that they choreographed the scene and planned the actors’ movements for the English version, and they had to reset everything and do this completely differently for the French, which basically doubled all the work.
The comment section exploded praising Kurylenko’s range. “I’m so impressed by people who speak French better than we natives,” one fan remarked, and another commented on her promo look, “You look beautiful without the creepy mask.”
On the flip side, some distinguished themselves from the work and started gushing about Kurylenko’s beauty. “Such a beautiful lady,” said one, while another kept writing, “My love, my angel, our Olga, so so pretty, I love you”.
What is truly enticing, though, is the storyline. ‘Other’ promises fright; however, the two-language thriller of Kurylenko adds yet another dimension of zest and allure. An online spectator said, “You’re going to rock it.”
The scales have yet to be weighed on that one: whether the audiences will flock to see either or both. Kurylenko’s spirit would never be tipped onto either side. To shoot the same material in two languages is not just a technical feat but a testament to an actress’s versatility.

Judging from responses, the fans seem all set to welcome both versions of the film. Kurylenko even noted: “It’s interesting, isn’t it? I’ve never done this before.” Most haven’t even tried—making ‘Other’ a very worthwhile showcase.
