The show received a fiery behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of Terminal List Season 2, and people are going crazy. The actor had put up a very short clip with the caption, “Things are heating up on the set of Terminal List Season 2 #bts,” which seemed to show an intense action sequence with lots of explosions happening either inside a tunnel or some underground kind of set. The grainy quality of the video lets us see the flames spurting out of either a manhole or an underground entrance while the crew frantically scurried around the set.

Based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novel series, The Terminal List chronicles Navy SEAL James Reece (Pratt) as he descends into the murky world of conspiracy following the ambush of his entire platoon during a mission. The first season was a hit with viewers on Amazon Prime Video because it gave them an exciting mix of military action mixed with political thriller elements, and this sneak peek sets the tone for sequel season to go extra with explosive set pieces.

The comment section was immediately flooded with excited viewers. One jokes about the tunnel obsession apparently possessed by this show: “Wow! What’s up with this show and tunnels?” Another one refers to Pratt’s action movie credentials: “Excuse me but cool guys never look at explosions.” The line is an obvious reference to Pratt’s character in Guardians of the Galaxy walking away from an explosion never to even look back.

Some really specific comments arrived, one of the book fans exclaimed excitedly, “I know the reference of the tunnel!!!! Everyone needs to read the terminal list series!!!!” The fan is probably hinting that this fiery scene might actually come straight from one of Carr’s novels. Then comes the comedy as one user declared, “Oh a LITERAL fire in a LITERAL hole,” because sometimes stating the obvious is hilarious.

The eagerness went farther than viewers. Industry people shared their opinions as well. One person from a gear company commented, “Can’t wait to see it! Hope ur enjoying the kit,” which would suggest some kind of product placement or collaboration. Another one, presumably a crew member or somebody from the industry, declared, “Seeing this, I can say series are heating up everywhere! Great time to start working on Season 3 also,” which … okay, somebody’s optimistic for renewal talks.

Interestingly, Pratt really doesn’t go into any details on plot or anything about a premiere date with this clip is scary intense, so if anything, there’s going to be Terminal List Season 2, which is every bit as relentless as the first. Season 1 was famed for its gritty realism (which would depend on whom you asked and would be either perceived as the source of a glue that held the show together or outright criticism with political overtones), but there was one thing nobody could say: it had really intense action scenes. Judging by this clip, the show isn’t going to hold anything back this season.

There is a mini debate raging about production techniques since this one. One person was wondering, “Is that a sound stage?” while another was joking, “It’s no Steadicam but still quality shooting,” which kind of makes fun of the shaky cam we see in the clip. But really, if there’s a fiery explosion bursting out of the ground, I doubt anyone’s mind is going to be on steady framing.

The Terminal List Season 2 has yet to announce its release date, but with their shooting having started, it does appear that a 2024 premiere is quite likely. Until then, the fans can only depend on analyzing every single frame of this very short clip while debating which part of the book series in which it may be adapted. Or, you know, just watching this stuff go up in flames with no regrets because sometimes that’s all good fun you need.

One thing’s for sure — Pratt is the master when it comes to pre-release hype. In and around the Garfield movie remains a putter, which leaves us to reckon that, from what we have seen in the clip, Terminal List Season 2 was going to be Pratt’s most explosive job yet. Literally.
