Jenna Fischer has landed in Chicago, armed with a suitcase full of grey shirts. The Office star gave an excited shout to the Windy City, casually posing against an off-white tiled wall that had “CHICAGO” boldly spelled out on it. Easily attired for comfort in a black shirt, white trousers, and black baseball cap, Fischer looked like she could have been the relaxed kind of tourist herself, drawing others to follow her along to the Goodman Theatre.

“We love it!” The actress gushed beside the image, with an off-the-cuff Joey-esque remark about having packed “a lot of grey shirts,” which elicited many laughs—because, you know, that weather is quite notorious for being…”indecisive.”

The welcome into the City of Chicago came fast and furious, accompanied by bits of advice, with one user saying, “Welcome to Chicago!! This is a perfect time to be here—summer and autumn are chef’s kiss.” A second one exclaimed, giving a very valid advice: “Have you gone to Portillo’s for hot dogs yet?” Chicagoans have quite the reputation for being serious!

An overly-excited commenter went wild with the prospect of causing a riot at The Bean by stating, “Imagine you’re there checking out The Bean, and THE Jenna Fischer is next to you posing with her family!! I would DIE HAPPY.” To which another replied, “I was just there 2 hours ago! Wish I saw her.” Bad luck, buddy.

Another loving former Office castmate, Angie Kinsey (who played Angela Martin), chimed in with: “Love that your tiny fan made it with you! Miss you! Hellooooo from Iceland!!” Awww.

Other people took it as a sign to roll out all the stops of their Chicago adventures, with one hitting the ground running: “Saw games in both baseball stadiums. Visited the Art Institute. Took the architecture cruise. Concert in Millennium Park. Food! The Bean! It was fun.” Fischer is going to be hard-pressed to top that.

That being said, it is only natural for any proud fan to tell the lady that a stay in Chicago is not complete without topping it off with some deep-dish pizza before signing her up for @chicagopizzatours!

Fischer’s forthcoming Goodman Theatre performance has gotten everyone talking, with one excited lots-of-fun-er posting, “Can’t wait! Getting my tickets. Love you and Fran.” (For those that don’t know, Fran is Fischer’s much-beloved Miniature Schnauzer, intermittently featured in some of her social media posts.)

The post also sparked a small debate on the subject of her baseball cap: was it a Cubs or Kings one? One user broke down, “The Cubs hats were the correct choice,” and the other said, “Nice hat! Go Kings Go!” Looks like the mystery will remain unsolved.

Just settling in, though, one thing is for sure: Chicago could never be happier to have her. Think the hot dogs; think the game; think the grey shirts—all great fun to be had.
