Charlize Theron Drops The Old Guard 2 And Fans Demand Part 3 Immediately

In all those reactions, it was a true deluge when The Old Guard sequel was released. Theron herself posted on Instagram about this second installment, and we can well imagine the frenzy of excitement, impatience, demands, and heartfelt responses that followed.

The uploaded post was simple: expressing Silvia Theron’s excitement for the release of the film and giving a shoutout to Netflix. But the comments section offered the beautiful unrest: ovations, emotionally tearful reactions, and desperate pleas begging for a third installment came flooding in. Needless to say, all the praise went out for the sequel, but the funny bit was that hundreds of them were looking ahead already. They were not willing to wait a moment longer.

A handful heavily focused on their feelings in the film, particularly the relationship between Andy and Quynh: “Everybody was excited about the reunion of Quynh and Andy,” the comment read before going on to another sad moment: “But can we also talk about the scene of Andy and Booker? I still can’t move on.” That is the kind of emotional hit the film delivered, with another fan adding, “It’s a beautiful scene and heartbreaking at the same time.”

On the other hand, some did not quite get the satisfaction they craved. “I had high hopes and got disappointed a bit though… Hopefully the part 3 is better!” Another went onward with their criticism of the editing style. But what makes those critics’ interests interesting is that they are craving more.

The demand for a third movie was so loud; it almost drowned out the release of its second counterpart. They weren’t just asking—they were pleading, jesting, and bargaining: “Give us part 3 please!!! And let it be 2 hours at least!!!” roared a comment. “Okay, so we need the part 3 pronto🥲🙏” came another.

Theron’s post was straight-laced in its announcement, but reactions ran wild. They waved joyously, impatiently, heartbreakingly, and with obsessive fan theories. Whether these fans loved the second film to pieces or just saw it as kind of cute in its imperfections, one thing is for sure: Countdown for The Old Guard 3 has already begun. And if Netflix hasn’t lost their wit, they surely won’t make their viewers wait another four years.

The Old Guard 2 has now been released, and judging by comments, the pressure on the third film is already at an all-time high. Can Netflix deliver? That’ll have to wait. But it sure did give quite a lot of time to Theron’s immortal warrior Andy and his army of very impatient fans.
