Last Friday’s unexpected appearance of Corbin Bleu on Jeopardy had to be the ultimate nostalgic treat for all High School Musical fans. The actor-most known for castings Chad Danforth in a certain Disney pop culture franchise-shared the clip from the show, saying, “Did you catch me on @Jeopardy last Friday? I’ll take surreal moments for $1000 #Jeopardy”. The internet did not stand it, basically.

Flip into this clip, and you will see Bleu doling out clues for a category named “Film Franchises.” He allured contestants with all his charm about his involvement in the Disney phenomenon that sort of launched Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens’ careers. The contestant named Michelle screamed with enthusiasm, “What is High School Musical?” That really was a wholesome moment that had all the fans in comment pouring their hearts into it.
One user was not able to contain one’s emotional roller coaster. “I love how saying High School Musical made her so happy! It shows how much that movie franchise means to so many!” And you know what? Same here. That nostalgia hit me so hard! I mean, spontaneous cafeteria dance breaks in High School Musical hit different. Another commented sarcastically: “This question should be worth $1000!!!!” To which another added: “If there was an HSM-themed Jeopardy episode, I would win.” Spoiler alert: They ain’t lying.
One negative view could be heard, “The question is stupid,” says an interesting opinion—Is High School Musical not a universal cultural reset moment? And today we will not allow that slander. Meanwhile, another fan turned that call-out into a call-loud for one of Bleu’s other lesser-known but more equally legendary roles in Catch That Kid, just showing he has range.
One amongst the fans became all concerned about Bleu’s facial hair during the photo-op; one of those enthusiasts declared, “Love the goatee (goatee?) btw.” Priorities, people.
Since his Wildcat days, the actor has been keeping himself busy with theater and films, but the HSM love has very far not withered and died away. Dropping magic trivia bombs or just shaggy-vibing with the fans, Bleu is alive and kicking. And if anyone’s listening: There ought to be an HSM-themed Jeopardy right now.

In the meantime, we will keep that clip on loop in our heads while we pretend it’s 2006-dropping some much-needed nostalgia vibes, back when life was simpler, basketball teams really did sing together flawlessly, and Sharpay Evans-was the ultimate villain we secretly all adored. Wildcat until death.
