Danielle Brooks Celebrates Jeopardy Moment With Fans

Danielle Brooke’s Hollywood heyday was truly one for the books. The actress, known for The Color Purple and for Forty-Three books for Orange Is The New Black, actually appeared as a Jeopardy question she shared on Instagram with the inscription “What is Brooks Baby!!! Oh mama, here’s another moment of feeling like We Made It!!”

The contestant in the said clip answers correctly about Brooks portraying Sophia in The Color Purple musical remake, and Taystee Jefferson on Orange Is The New Black. The look of indescribable joy and pride on Brooks’s face tells a story: That is making it. For pop culture to actually choose your work for a trivia question: Labels aside.

For Brooks, the perfect words are that this has not been her first run as a Jeopardy answer. To which others responded: “I remember this question a few years ago on the Jeopardy game app (I sent it to you)! So cool they added The Color Purple part. Talk about coming full circle.”

Sprinkled with sorority love, nostalgic fans, and sheer ecstasy, the comments section was among the highlights of the impromptu celebration of Brooks’ career. From Orange Is The New Black to home makeover (shoutout to that fan still loving that attic window design) and then down to meadow-sized projects, Brookes does have a buffet of fine works attached to her name.
