David Spade Drops New Tour Dates and Amazon Special

Comedy-lovers rally all-out in David Spade’s honor as he announces a new tour and imminently an Amazon special. The stand-up got with it and published the announcement on Twitter while linking his special to tickets for his live shows, stating in the post that the special will drop on Amazon May 6. Replies have been a town-hall cacophony of hype, jokes, and a few confused Texans wondering why they were left out.

Tour press like that: Spade’s hitting cities, making people laugh and stuffing up the pockets for fat amounts of money made offline streaming. But the real entertainment is within the reply section. One TheJudgingKing just throws at him a kind of Graybush 420 linked to… something. No context, just vibes. Classic Twitter. R2d2 (yes, the Star Wars droid) says they’ll see him at one, demanding he “bring the energy.” Bold demand, but Spade, in his heart, never goes half way on a show, anyway.
Other people are irked. JD from Texas bluntly asked ‘No Texas dates?’ Ouch, that must hurt. Inside Agitator praised Spade for the cameo in John Mulaney’s, well newest work, proving Spade’s always stealing the show, be it alone or not. Then, The Tourist Formerly Known as Prince (yes, that’s their handle) asked if there would be “pearl necklace jokes” to which they hinted Spade’s got a reputation. Who knew?
On the other hand, the love kept pouring in. SONJA MOISIO: “I’d laugh my ass off if you tell some jokes,” to which, well, he will. Jef then coolly followed this up: “speaking to Mike White about getting you on White Lotus next season.” Okay, now THAT’S a flex. Spade on White Lotus? Sign us up.
Shipwrecked delivered the biggest tear-jerking confession. Someone will probably never see Spade live but wants to acknowledge him as one of their all-time favorites. That’s just wholesome content we didn’t know we needed. Then Jesse Stanton slid in on the profound stuff: “Nothing better than healing childhood trauma with sarcasm like a live mic and questionable life choices.” Tbh? Mood.
Then comes Victoria, a self-proclaimed Spade fanatic, who has seen each of his shows so often she could recite them every word. She’s thinking of driving to Phoenix if none is added for L.A.: now that’s serious loyalty, or craziness, perhaps both.

David Spade has a tour, the special, and people lined up to throw money at him; some will show for the jokefest and some for the nostalgia, while others come for all the crazy that is a David Spade live show. May 6 cannot arrive soon enough. And if you’re in Texas… there’s always next time.
