DC Young Fly came from what seemed to be a whirlwind weekend with the right vibes still in the atmosphere. The performer and comedian went on Instagram to thank through the power of words a thousand times over, the island crowd that sold out four shows in Hawaii while begging for more. The picture posted on Instagram was a candid shot during one of his performances at Blue Note Hawaii. A wide-angle shot with DC Young Fly on stage, microphone in one hand, drink in another, absorbing the electric vibe from the crowd.

He captioned the post: “Hawaiiii owes me nothin!!! I love yal we Turnt up alll weekend #4SoldOutShows beautiful island wit love and laughter I can’t wait to come back and rock wit yal and everybody in the service we thank you.” The pure joy radiated from his post as the comment section quickly filled with praises from those who went from what was missed by others but are plotting for the next show.
Someone summed it all up by labeling this the “funniest show I have been to since I got here,” while at least one other person joked about requiring a passport for the isle, saying, “half of us would’ve been there, but we thought we needed a passport to go to Hawaii.” It was all in good humor, with the comedy from DC Young Fly being more in common with the audience than separate.
Yet some weighty moments did occur that evening. One or two felt he used his platform to address pertinent real-life issues with one claiming he was “unafraid and unapologetic.” Others gave the greatest respect for the show, remembering that while his son and daughter-in-law were in the service, the genuine appreciation was almost staggering among all the praise.
The show must go on. Or better yet, it must return. There were cries galore: `COME BACK AGAIN BRUDDA I NEEDA SEE YOU ONE LAST TIME`, with plenty of fans tagging each other to make future plans. Even the Kenyans were getting involved with a: `please bring the show to Nairobi.`
That magic experience regrettably remained an exclusive event for some: `I was suppose to come see you but I couldn’t redeem tickets,` proving there is serious demand for these shows.
The post with its purple-blue glowing backdrop, stage snapshot lulled into an endless drunken energy, capturing the very essence of the weekend: unfiltered, fun, and free. If the chatter in the comment section is any indication, then an imminent future visit of DC Young Fly is a done deal.

And what now? If the buzz could be trusted, then the sold-out shows will continue, the laughs will keep flowing, and probably some fun antics to stir in some international crowds. But what has been etched into history is DC Young Fly in Hawaii, just as this island and its people have surely etched an impression on him.
