Dwayne Johnson Teases Dark Psychological Role With A24 And Fans Have Thoughts

A new frontier seems to be opening for Dwayne Johnson, and the internet is going into a tizzy. From his cryptic tweet about A24, there is much splashing around about the “not-your-typical Rock” idea.

He talks about a “deep dark psychological dive into the culture of motivational gurus” and says that it was a character that he could “really unhinge” and “rip open.” Forget explosions and funny one-liners—going to far beyond the realms of lucid ambition. This outside-the-box offer really must find itself a suitable home among the likes of A24, who gave us Hereditary and Everything Everywhere All at Once.

But, of course, responses differed. Some simply hyped it up: “Perfect statement from auteur Dwayne Johnson,” and, “I love it when actors take on such deep and dark roles.” Heavier wrestling crowd response, with someone screaming, “STAY AWAY FROM WRESTLING,” and others joking, “We need you to come back for Cody’s soul.”

Huge shadows have been cast by the man himself. “Black Adam humbled this man’s Ego so very badly,” one commented, as other comments continue to hold up for Central Intelligence 2 with Kevin Hart. (Sorry folks—sometimes it ain’t that).
