Erin Andrews Shares Hilarious College Dorm Stories On Latest Podcast Episode

Erin Andrews offered us some insight into her own college years and those awful freshman days we all share. The Fox Sports presenter and podcaster reminisced about the dorm years on the latest episode of “Calm Down,” from the whole gamut of illnesses: mono to pink-eye… and it was just as wild as it sounds.

Erin kept things flowing by letting loose on those dorm tales of hers moving out after things got “squirrely.” She had dreaded mono, and she suspected she might have had strep as well, but she said perhaps it was just a feeling of strep because it was too much to even bear having mono. “I think I put my mouth on an ice luge after a Gator game and that’s how I got it,” she laughed, thus putting all dating rumors to bed at that time. “Relax, I wasn’t dating anyone. I was awkward and weird.”

Then came the pink-eye story. Andrews swore on her life that she was not engaged in any scandalous behavior, but it very well may have been put in her makeup by her roommate. “I come back and she’s like, ‘Hey, I was using your makeup. Hope you were okay with that.’” That reaction is nearly universal among anyone who’s shared mascara with another.

Commenters could not resist jumping in. One user joked, “Pink eye and mono—nice freshman year,” while another sneered, “We all know how she got pink eye.” Others were happy to chime in with their own roommate horror stories, including one who said, “My freshman year roommate took a shirt out of my dirty laundry to wear after I specifically told her not to.” Yikes.

Naturally, a lot of people were in no mood to sympathize. One snarked, “Lmao Erin YOU were definitely the problem,” and that launched a mini-debate. However, the negativity was soon quashed by all of Andrews’ staunch defenders.

Down memory lane got one more chilled out UF alum commenting, “Go Gators! I, too, remember the Pike house!”—referring to the fraternity where Andrews thinks she got mono.

All in all, the ice-luge confessions and makeup mishaps are hilarious reminders that even the best fawned over have had terribly messy college days. That to me is refreshing.
