Ice Cube And Eva Longoria Star In War Of The Worlds But Fans Have Mixed Reactions

While critics and viewers alike have not fully embraced the new sci-fi thriller titled War Of The Worlds starring Ice Cube and Eva Longoria, the film is now available for streaming and ridden with myriad reactions; the audience either loved or hated it, or simply could do without the fact that this is the other version aside from Tom Cruise’s.

Prime Movies went officially on Instagram to promote the movie through a clip peppered with jaw-dropping action sequences and the special father-daughter relationship with a cryptic caption that read: ‘They lie because you would never believe the truth.’ The clip commences with shots of alien invasion happenings: all explosion, chaos, and last-ditch attempts for survival-an iconic display of War Of The Worlds levels of chaos. While the clip is enough to impress anyone virtually, the real drama unfolds right in the comment section.

One user quite simply gave the sentiment, ‘Ion care, I love Ice Cube, I’m watching it, lol!’ Many seem to be joining the streaming wave just for Cube before they even knew what it was about. Another commented, ‘From fighting in the hood to fighting in space—goated,’ which is quite a far cry from Cube’s usual street dramas.

Then, the split began. Some members of the tube-watching camp just couldn’t help themselves but compare it to the 2005 installment and initiated, rather bluntly: ‘Sorry but this is not beating the Tom Cruise one.’ And followed another: ‘The one with Tom Cruise is one of my favorite movies,’ therefore creating a much stronger nostalgia for the first one.

Then arrived the conspiracy theorists. ‘They’re prepping us for the 2027 false invasion,’ one cryptically mused, suggesting the movie was part of a larger scheme. It is unclear if the comment was tongue-in-cheek or sincere paranoia, but an interesting layer of weirdness was added to the thread.

A few were just glad a new movie was being discussed. “I was just looking for a movie to watch later on tonight,” one commented while another said, “Movie was actually pretty good.” But some were bad: Another critic, unimpressed seeing Lion Ice Cube for the duration of this and several other recent films, remarked that Ice Cube should “do yourself a favor and quit acting.”

Despite the contrasting reviews, what is certain is that Ice Cube still holds a solid loyal army of supporters whenever they want to back him. If alien discrepancy and chaos with a bit of Ice Cube intensity sound like something you might enjoy, then this may be the movie for you. Just don’t expect anybody’s heart to be displaced soon.
