Jamie Kennedy Recalls Wild MySpace Days With Criss Angel And A Questionable Pet

You have to take everybody on a nostalgia trip on the very chaotic days of MySpace… and well, things got a little weird. That very actor and comedian gave us a throwback: a clip of none other than illusionist Criss Angel doing what Steve usually does-freak people out with bizarre acts- this time allegedly eating his own pet! Yeah, you read it right.

We have the video of Angel messing with Kennedy pretending to turn into a rat along dramatic cues before “eating” the poor thing. The caption went: “This was a normal day back in the MySpace era. Dressed like a breakdancer watching Criss eat his pet in his penthouse in Vegas. I’m still hoping he didn’t actually eat it.” Spoiler alert: He probably didn’t, but the stunt was bonkers enough to be forever etched in memory.
Fans were divided-horrified or nostalgic, in the comments. “Oh, I see. It’s in his left hand. He knocked the real one off with his right arm,” one user admitted, implying the mouse was perhaps a part of the trick. Another went, “All respect to Mr. Angel but Tom Green did this trick first,” opening up a mini debate about who really started that whole “shock humor with small animals” thing.
Others were interested in Kennedy’s thread, with one asking, “What are you wearing, Jamie?” while the throwback vibes were being appreciated by some others. “Kickin It Old School is in my top 5 movies of all time,” a fan gushed in reference to the cult-classic comedy with Kennedy.
The clip further pushed for a sequel to Kickin’ It Old School, with many comments clamoring for a new installment. One commenter even joked: “We need a new album though homie! Where’s Stu?” referencing Kennedy’s co-star from the film.
Yet, the craziest remarks really came from the disbelief that any of this could ever be considered normal. “The MySpace era was the best era,” one comment quoted, summing up the general vibe. And honestly? They’re not wrong. Between questionable fashion, washboard-face celebrity antics, and the pretty lawless universe known as the internet, there were chinks of madness.

The entertainer could not help but comment his post; he gave us all some nostalgic confusion with a splash of a reminder of how bonkers early 2000s were. Well, whether Criss Angel actually ate a mouse is another story; what is sure is the internet will never let go of it.
