Jayson Tatum Stuns In Timberlands Ahead Of Celtics-Knicks Game 3

Going into Game 3 of the Celtics-Knicks series, Jayson Tatum got himself some highlight with an appearance at Madison Square Garden wearing Timberlands. The pregame photo-op for the Boston Celtics sharpshooter immediately went viral, with half of the world admiring the look and the other half mocking it. SportsCenter put up the photo, and oh, the comments were anarchy.”

One view about Timberlands was that they generated a great conversation while some flat out insulted them. One of them said, ‘Nga look like he had a long day at the lumber yard,’ while the other one said, ‘Bob The Builder.’ Gutted with all the insults? Maybe. Funny? Absolutely. But there are those who do not see these statements with disdain but with a sign of power attitude. One said, “Letting the world know… He’s here to work!” Another added, “If those shoes bring the energy, I don’t care how they are laced.”
Some expressed disappointment at how Tatum was actually lacing his shoes. One user stated, ‘He not even wearing them shits right!’ while the next was a little bit more disappointed, adding, ‘bro can’t even wear timbs in a cool way.’ Apparently, the Timberlands style police were in full force. But really—since when do NBA stars follow fashion rules? If anything, they break them on purpose.
Then came the predictions on how the Bucks would perform in that pair of shoes. Some fans saw them as a herald of dominance. One went, ‘Tatum got the timbs in the garden? Yeah he dropping 40…’ Another one boldly stated, ‘Yo he’s going for 40 bro.’ The Knicks fans, however, were not having any of it. ‘Knicks 3-0 he ain’t even rocking them right,’ one came back roaring. The snark continues in the fashion department.
Of course, with the not-so-glamorous shoe debate, some haters came on parade. One entered an almost offensive rant, calling the current NBA players “fruitcakes” that care more about “fashion than toughness.” “NBA is as watchable as the WNBA now,” came the judgmental snap. Ouch. I guess someflower woke up on the wrong side of the bed today while others just called the whole thing corny. “Is everyone in Boston this super corny or is just Tatum and Jaylen Brown?” Ouch.” Not good for Celtics.

But will the Timbs come through? The Celtics needed a win, and something tells me that Tatum’s outfit made that statement. Maybe Tatum just really likes the boots. Whatever the story was, the popularity soared across the Internet. Whether you love it or hate it, the fact remains that Jayson Tatum can turn the tide of public discourse. That is already half the battle in the playoffs.
