Giving some major hope for perhaps, during the next season of The Boys, there could be a Supernatural reunion floating about, has been a bait turned viral by Jensen Ackles. The most exciting part of the discussion is that during The Tonight Show, he kept teasing that Kripke, who is the creator of the two shows, might actually bring back some or all of his original cast for a special appearance. The very idea has so much excitement rushing into the white arena that it’s hard to contain.

Klimatographic from The Tonight Show has Ackles waxing lyrical about Eric Kripke’s fondness for working with people he knows well, suggesting that there might be a Supernatural reunion for the old third. Ackles laughed at the thought of trying to line everybody up after working together for 15 years, and he said it was fun. He told them that the popularity of Supernatural really took off with Netflix giving the show to a new generation to view during the pandemic.
Fans started peppering the comments with excitement. One user mentioned “Supernatural is my all-time favorite show. It’s been there for every stage of my life since I got into watching it back in 2008.” Another comment from “I grew up with Supernatural, and I have been following it for 14 years straight. Though the show concluded five years ago, I always keep watching it; somehow it still feels fresh to me.” The bond of being close to the show is undeniable, with several sharing unique experiences about how the show affected their lives and some naming their kids after characters such as Sam and Dean.
So while Ackles was rather vague talking about a possible reboot, the fans of course went into overdrive: “I don’t know that we ever hang it up in Supernatural.” This could only send the fans on a rampage. A happy outsider went crazy saying, “MY GOD AM I DREAMING OR DOES THIS MEAN ALL THE PRAYERS MIGHT GET ANSWERED???”
While a budding career would gladden most, some selfishly wanted to keep it to themselves as a “hidden gem” of sorts. One user stated jokingly: “There’s this tiny, itty bitty part of me that wants him to keep being our hidden gem. It’s not rational, I know.”
There was an enthusiastic contribution from newer fans, as another one stated, “I’m one of the late people who just started Supernatural this year,” to which the welcome response came in: “Welcome to the crazy family!”
Whether this makes it to fruition or not, one thing is certain-The legacy of Supernatural has never been more alive. The ageless appeal of the show perhaps lies in how it manages to appeal to viewers across generations. And if the hint from Ackles really counts, maybe the Winchester brothers aren’t done saving the world just yet.
