Jeremy Renner Celebrates His Audiobook Being Named Apple’s Must Listen

Jeremy Renner later went to Instagram to spread the word worldwide about his fabulous news: His audiobook My Next Breath is featured on the Apple Books May Must-Listen List! Having been most famously known as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Renner was unable to contain his excitement any longer. He referred to it as a “treasure box of life goods.” And yes, it has really evoked some rather strong reactions from some of those who have read or listened to the book.

This book, narrating Renner’s 2023 near-fatal snowplow accident and agonizing recovery, is definitely hard for heavy souls to bear. A comment from @elenas.littlebookworld said that they found it “so emotional” and finished it in a week. Then, another commentary from @sappelaine admitted: “Was already a fan of Renner going in; I now hold a deeper respect for his endurance and outlook on life. Good job!” For real: thinking of the fact that he literally pulled through, survived, and fashioned an inspiring narrative out of the tragedy, that’s advanced-level.”

In yet another poetic analogy, @just_a_woman_in_the_earth said that Renner was a “miracle” in terms of making the comeback stronger, both physically and mentally. They seemed to have some support in their evaluative alternative: “Anyone else would have given up long ago,” Pretty fair, right? The guy got crushed literally by a 14,000-pound snowcat.

Some, such as @naturelovingmicrobiologist, are anxiously awaiting the time to finally bite into it (relatable). In contrast, others like @joycemau59 seem to gift themselves for a second listen; somehow, the first round was insufficient. Additionally, @kjefferson58 said that the experience felt like Renner was in the room with them telling his story-the power of a great audiobook.

The endless let’s thank Renner comments can get quite overwhelming. But people seem to be thanking Renner, not congratulating him, for having told his story and shared his struggles (@lisasukys said), thereby giving hope to others that those dark days need not last forever.

If you have not picked up My Next Breath yet, now is the time. Surely, this stuff counts for something from Apple. But it is a very serious accolade when any casual person just labels it a must-listen. And if you did read the book, do as @currentlytkearns did and pick up the audiobook for another listen. It is like sitting down to dinner with Renner while he tells you the entire crazy story. Good time.

Side note: How wild is it that the guy who got crushed by the snowplow is now out here thriving and inspirational talking, also being one of Hollywood’s most affable guys? That is some oh-so-iconic behavior.

Besides, all due respect go to Renner for being recognized by Apple Books. As a way of putting the icing on the cake, big congrats to Jeremy Renner on being able to turn a nightmare from which everyone would shy away into something that is truly helping people from all accounts. Now, that’s a win that can’t be measured.
