Joe Rogan Announces Comedy Show Tickets And Receives Mixed Reactions

The event announcement post really marked the last opportunity to grab tickets for Joe Rogan’s comedy shows on Tuesday and Wednesday. Ticket sales were met with a flurry of responses coming from both ends of the spectrum, with some supporting and others bluntly defending what they felt were Rogan’s weak stand-up efforts.

The replies really spiced up a plain, simple post-announcement free-for-all where promotion for those live shows stood alone. One very candid commentator launched, “Your friends are the least funny dudes on the planet.” Ouch! “No one gives a fuck about Joe Rogan stand up just stick to your podcast”, said another. So it is clear that his stand-up quite certainly does not enjoy a large following.
Other responses showed fervent excitement for the comedy shows: “Get ready for laughs and good vibes. Grab your tickets now,” stated one fan. Another responded, ‘So glad I hopped on X. Can’t wait to see you Tuesday night!’ So there is an ardent crowd willing to rally to his side, if not everyone is sold on Rogan’s stand-up comedy.
Then, the jokes came rolling: the kindhearted along with the outlandish. One went with, ‘Joe bout to ask a comedian mid-set if chimps understand irony.’ Another said, ‘Serious question, Joe: what if space aliens bred human beings for comedy as a betting game?’ Classic Internet randomness!
Another critic had somewhat of a deeper thought. Just being honest here, ‘Love the podcast. He’s able to riff with other comedians. But his stand up is a fucking C-. Another one is: ‘Will you tell any funny jokes? Can’t remember the last time. Usually stories that involve grunts.’ Obviously, some of them think that Rogan’s style of conversation on his podcast does not necessarily measure up to his kind of stand-up live performance.
More than that, petty technical complaints: one sore soul lamented ‘Website crashes when you go to tickets.’ Not exactly the smooth experience we hoped for our fans when they booked their seats.
Amidst the chaos, some are notable-simple because of their utter randomness. “Bleaching my anus that night, sorry,” one persona uttered. No context or explanation-giving one vivid mental image no one asked for.
Mixed reactions aside, however, the shows will probably be sold out. Whether they come for comedy or just for spectacle, there can’t be a hollow house on the promise of this man’s name. Sure let us be honest about whether or not that name equals great stand-up by everybody’s standards: a topic on which people can argue.
Whether the shows will be filled with charming laughter or awkward silence, well, that’s another story. But one thing is for sure: Joe Rogan really knows how to get the masses talking-about him, whether it is in praise or roast.

Those who responded to the announcement are the living proof for one truth: love him or hate him, one cannot simply ignore him. And half that battle is won in the world of entertainment.
