Nadji Jeter Wants To Be Live-Action Miles Morales And The Internet Has Thoughts

Nadji Jeter, the voice behind Miles Morales in Insomniac’s never-fail-’em ‘Spider-Man’ titles, is now fully geared into live-action swinging as the wall-crawler himself. The said revelation comes from a rather recent interview conducted with the actor, wherein lines of communication lit up online and, to put it mildly, were mixed between some hype, some skepticism, and some downright chaos.

First up, hype train arrived IMMINENT. User Linx sent other replies cascading down with the energy of a thousand suns as: “Yes yes and even more YES.” Short, sweet, and absolutely zero misgiving for interpretation. And, J6IXGOD just made it grander: “Ima speak for all of us when I say we all want this.” Bold statement, but considering how Jeter’s been the money in the games, that claim ain’t all that wrong. Aaron piled it on, calling game performance “fantastic,” making the argument that it cast him as “the best casting choice.” Can’t argue with that logic-duke already nailed that role once.

But of course, the internet wouldn’t be the internet without a little pushback. Breezy laid down the cold hard truth: “Who wouldn’t want a fat pay check? Fair enough. Acting’s a job, and Spider-Man? That’s a lucrative job right there. Warmed him up to Jake-Gon Jinn, who closed him with the nuclear option: “No thank you. We’re not in need of a Live-action DEI Spidey.” Ouch. That one sparked a whole mini-war in the replies, with Baumann firing back: “You know that’s no one is forcing you to watch the movie, right?” Oof.

Some brought forth new contenders for the role. Matt Griffin wasn’t having it, hauling up Miles Brown’s past campaign for the part with a little sarcasm: “So are we just going to pretend Miles Brown didn’t campaign for this years ago??? Okay…” Meanwhile, TheMCUSpidey put another name on the list: “Dallas Dupree Young is still my first pick.” The casting debate is clearly far from settled.

Then the wildcards came in, with Angel bringing nostalgia: “He’s Miles to y’all, but to me, he will always be Andre McKenzie.” Shout-out to the ‘Grown-ish’ fans; we see you. Then there was ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁, who just dismissed the idea: “These mocap ‘actors’ wanting to play live action needs to be stopped bro 🤦.” That was harsh, but hey, you can’t please everyone.

Well, even if Nadji Jeter won the fortune of getting the live-action role, one thing is for sure-peoples care. A lot. Spider-Man fandom is way passionate along with divided and always ready to spar, and honestly? That is kind of beauty.

So, what now? Probably needs more rumor, more fan-casting, and most definitely, some more Twitter fights. But if there is someone listening at Marvel, then they have a solid option right here. Just sayin’.
