Russell Brand Asks If Mark Zuckerberg Is A Shape-Shifter And Twitter Explodes

Russell Brand just dropped a tweet that literally exploded the Internet. One of his musings straight upphoned it: is Mark Zuckerberg some sort of shape-shifting creature or can folks actually rely upon him now? – and boy, the replies did NOT disappoint.

First, here is the tweet: The question that begs an inquiry with respect to Brand’s playfulness actually has some gravity. Could it be that he’s just fooling around with the robotic mannerisms? Or is he hinting at some deeper conspiratorial stuff? Or was he just stirring the pot for fun? Probably all three given Brand’s history with really provocative takes.
The replies to that were really on fire. Some went straight to full-on conspiracy theories: dan32113 believed Zuckerberg switched from left-wing Buddhism to all-right in a constellation of sexual misconduct allegations against him and said he was all fake. Also under this theme, Laughingdragon2 claimed that firms that have no relation in any way to intelligence agencies become the subjects for takeover; heavy.
And here come the primary haters: Link_of_Astonia called Zuck a snake which sheds its skin to become a bigger snake. Alastair Sell chimed in with leopards don’t change their spots. Barbara Vickers kept it simple: He is evil. Not much ambiguity there.
But it gets weirder. Some folks took the shape-shifter bit literally. MichaelPaulEdw1 jacked up speciesism among those who do not trust in shape-shifters. WolfPack Media called Zuck a rat. And osc osc said he just changes direction to benefit himself, complete with monkey emojis for some reason.
The political angles were absolutely crazy too. FreeThoughtCat on the other hand dropped the bombshell concerning Trump dumping Zuck like a turd down the toilet. KenGWiebe, on the other hand, pretended to be awed at the news of Meta colluding with China, and in true Brand fashion, Amy King even went further to say that Brand ignores Russian bots looming at Russian elections.
Still, personal attacks were thrown in. BScriffs had the guts to roam around and ask which he is: rapist or not. FreeThoughtCat emphatically came in from another angle to some very weird back-and-forth with others about finding Jesus. And KenGWiebe (again) quipped that he always liked Brand even when disagreeing with him.
A few tried to be fair: James A Freeman: shape-shifter, no discussion needed. SheedomUSA kept it with the classics: can’t trust him as far as you could throw him. And realTonyEsq kept it easy: Nope, he’s a shape shifter.
The funniest? Maybe when Deravakian81 randomly said, Hmm, a lot of mosquitoes out tonight, in the middle of a potentially serious thread. That’s Twitter chaos, right there.
What’s the takeaway? People REALLY don’t trust Zuckerberg. Be it his politics or lack of, his bizarre business practices, and indeed, even his public appearances that seem awkwardly distant at best bring up some very high feelings by the givers. And along comes fellow hungry dog Russell Brand, throwing around a little question like this.
So these replies capture the division among people on tech giants in general. Deep conspiracy, greed of the businessmen, lizard people memes-one takes inspiration from them. In the hundreds here, though, and that’s what matters most, there was not one defender for Zuck.
It was true to all the roping-in suspicions that were already there, but by that could be seen as joke bait. That’s what social media can do at its best – and worst. Whether Zuck’s a shape-shifter has yet to be proven. The reaction can at least prove this: people love to hate the guy who built Facebook.

And probably rightfully so. After all those years of privacy scandals and awkward congressional testimonies, this may be just that justified distrust, or perhaps we are all just paranoid. Either way, it made for one entertaining thread on Twitter. Excuse me now while I make sure that my tin foil hat is still fashionable.
