Adkins has returned to practice for Bedlam, and I think those training sessions were quite intense, judging from what I saw on social media. In fact, in one of his selfies shared from the gym, the martial artist and actor is shirtless and bombarded with light to highlight one hell of a muscular physique while the caption said, “Time to get in shape for the new movie-Bedlam @legendsgymrugeley.” All cut up and ripped for his first-ever high-octane action role, Adkins made a great groove with each of the muscles precisely defined. The room in the backdrop gave away the fact that this is a serious gym, packed with so many gym apparatus-admit it, this wouldn’t be a casual fitness journey; this is prep worthy of a pro athlete.

The post generated an avalanche of comments majorly from Adkins’ faithful supporters who stood amazed by the actor’s physique. One user remarked in jest: ‘Dude please, it’s about time… get in shape. This is the motivation you needed!’ Clearly poking fun at the fact that Adkins might as well be in perfect shape. While another overly excited fan exclaimed, ‘BOYKA UNDISPUTED IS COMING BACK FOR MORE REVENGE!!!!! I cant wait for the new excitement,’ referring to the cult-favorite role of Adkins in the Undisputed franchise that had so much to do with launching his name across the big map in the action film industry.

In the comments, hopefully, the people are talking about the Undisputed franchise, begging for a new movie. ‘Bro we need undisputed 5,’ pleaded one fan, another simply said, ‘We r missing yuri boyka,’ or at least many, were looking forward to the return of Adkins as the Russian fighter. Another commenter curiously suggested, ‘Scott and Michael I white need to make blood and bone 2,’ another of Adkins’ renowned fight flicks. The excitement of seeing more of Adkins doing his brand of martial arts action was evident throughout the commentary.

Some comments weren’t tied to movies. Rather, they related to being astonished by Adkins’ body. An Arabic comment read: (translated) ‘Same body as me but he’s dry and I’m not lol,’ obviously in fun at their relative fitness levels. Another Turkish comment said, ‘You’ve become an old man, king,’ which is a compliment, considering Adkins’ current status, to remain in the physically demanding action realm for so long.

Among the genuine reactions are some odd ones, like one person randomly demanding ‘I need a serious relationship’ and another trying to solicit cryptocurrency donations-these are regulars across celebrity Instagram comments nowadays. Other than that, almost all comments speak about Adkins‘ transformation and what it probably means for his new project.

Bedlam is one more lead feature for Adkins but remains largely a mystery. Probably, judging by his very hard-hitting action roles in the past and the obvious grueling behind-the-scenes transformation, means “another heavy-hitting performance.” Having been doing stunts and fight choreography of his own for a few years now, of course, during physical preparation, will become splendidly important to a 47-year-old British martial artist.

This is one of the many occasions Adkins has shared working out with his fans. The actor is largely famous for posting videos of himself working out or behind-the-scenes from studio work just so any seedling action fan would understand what it really takes. His undying will make toward fitness and martial arts sustain him as one of the most respected men in the realm, even though he has yet to cross over into mountain blockbuster terrain.

As the comments from his fans indicate, Adkins has put together an ardent following that respects his physical prowess and equally reveres his efforts to provide real and authentic action. Depending on whether Bedlam turns out to be just another underground fight flick or something far more ambitious, one thing is for sure: Scott Adkins will be bringing his on the mat and onscreen to share! Judging by the reaction to this one simple gym selfie, his base audience is not going anywhere.
