T.I. Sparks Laughter With Hilarious Shirt And Comedy Show Promo

T.I., who used to go by Tip, set social media boisterously with the post promoting his Bay Area stand-up shows. The gloomy picture featured T.I. in the infamous shirt that almost instantly turned into a spectacle eliciting a flood of commentaries from his fans and followers ranging from crack-your-ribs hilarity to utter states of disbelief.

The post pictured K. Dubb and his buddy TI, who said KDubb’s mother was a fan of the shirt he was wearing. The caption spoke of TI’s four appearances at Tommy T’s Comedy Club, where he warned ticket holders to get their tickets before they sell out. But the shirt-and the reactions-were the real highlights of the show.
One user hilariously likened TI to adult-film star Ron Jeremy, setting off a huge laugh riot in the replies. Another popped up with a comment calling TI someone who looks like “somebody’s auntie at the doctor’s office,” and the crowd was in a fit of laughter. The comparisons never stopped; some said he looked like Johnny Depp in ‘Blow,’ others called him a ‘Jamaican porn star’ or an uncle barbecue-ing at the juke joint.
And that was only the beginning for the costume jokes. One taker also mocked T.I.’s comic endeavors: “T.I. as comedian is cringe.” Then another came almost defending it: Best promo I’ve ever seen is that raw, unfiltered energy.
While some were rolling around on the floor with laughter, some others just weren’t feeling it. Some unabashedly called it a “lame promo attempt,” one of them saying KDubb-mom jokes were played-out. Others plain couldn’t get with the humor, with one stating simply, “Trying to be funny, but ain’t funny.”
In all, hostile attitude towards the post had not seen the light of day, hence such opportunities made haters pounce on it and smack down anyone conversing, be it in laughter or in those kinds of entertained snickers at how one-drama-star stepped his way to viral appreciation. On the other hand, supported by some diversion chatter, a few fans could not stop sharing their hardships, one pleading an all-out hear-me-out-for-I-am-starving-for-the-night. Ironically, a stark reminder of the world out there beyond those laughs.
Tickets to comedy shows went, on the other hand, almost out of the imaginary shelves. That alone was some evidence that TI’s status does, in fact, still demand to be witnessed in music, acting, and now comedy. Whether love or hate, one big gaping vacuum cannot be placed in this name. Judging from the reactions, customers were more than willing to share the laughter.

The post certainly did what it was set out to do: turned up the heat. People were going nuts about the shirt and the jokes or maybe just TI himself. And with the shows selling out in a flash, looks like the King of the South has got comedic potential, if not at least on some viral fashion moments.
