Tom Cruise recalled on social media the state of 30 years of being with the Mission Impossible franchise; needless to say, the people went really crazy and Kiara Electric-shocks goodwill response. The actor, who is known for his death-defying stunts and blockbuster hits, went all emotional while expressing his thanks to all cast and crew members of the filmmaking process and, most importantly, the audience.

“Over 30 years ago, I began the journey of producing my first film, Mission: Impossible,” Cruise said in a social media post. “Since then, these eight films have taken me on the greatest adventure of my life.” He then thanked everybody who worked with him on the films before giving a little tease on the release of The Final Reckoning, the newest entry into the franchise.
This post threw the fans into a frenzy of nostalgia and excitement, as the fans grew up watching the films. A user not-so-nostalgically remembers being ten when the first film came out stating that there is little to separate Mission Impossible from James Bond in designing their interest in action. Another offered high praise, referring to Cruise as “actual GOAT of cinema” for how he has inspired audiences worldwide.
But it was not just praise, there was some nitpicking on unforgettable moments too. One commenter labeled a scene from The Final Reckoning as “stressful and over-the-top fun”, chuckling about a character passing out mere moments before an explosion, calling it wickedly funny and nail-biting.
Then there were those going for the consistency of the franchise. One follower wrote, “Every Mission Impossible has been amazing and worth being watched on repeats,” adding that “I’ve truly become addicted to all eight of them.” Once a film critic, another joined in saying Fallout should have been in Best Picture contention, placing it at the same level as Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Yet all these nostalgic glories meant that many had already scheduled themselves to see The Final Reckoning. One fan shared excitement to have been rewatching the whole series non-stop in preparation for this day. Another found it “perfection as always” to celebrate their birthday with the viewing of the new installment.
Naturally, a host of comments were made praising Cruise’s insane stunt work. Yet another cheeky user called for him to win Best Stunt Oscar, in a funny acknowledgement of Cruise’s reputation for undertaking practically all of his own high-risk action scenes.
The major mood? Gratitude. Most comments expressed gratitude not only for the film, but also for the many years of entertainment and inspiration. “Your life has truly been amazing,” stated one, while another saluted each and every soul involved in the whole thing.
While the franchise is preparing to close off this chapter with The Final Reckoning, what is certain is Mission Impossible has built a massive imprint in pop culture, simultaneously cementing Cruise’s title as Hollywood’s most dedicated and entertaining working actor.

So…is this really it? Only time will tell—but judging by the initial response to Cruise’s post, the audience is definitely not ready for goodbye just yet.
