Vin Diesel Jokes About Picking A Favorite Car Like Choosing A Favorite Child

Vin Diesel, in somewhat comical fashion, gave a lead-in that has much of the Internet abuzz. The Fast & Furious star took to Instagram with a cryptic statement that compares choosing between cars to parents choosing favorite children: “Like asking a parent who’s their favorite child… Haha.”

Vin Diesel, however, never really said which particular pair of cars he was referring to in his cryptic remark. Comments started pouring in with the majority of the commenters speculating that maybe he was talking about his iconic Dodge Charger from Fast and Furious. The post kind of threw in an atmosphere of nostalgia and humor, but also mixed in some emotions about parenthood.

Yet another responds in Spanish: “Parents do not have favorite children but tend to show up more for those who need their help. They do love them equally.” Going surprisingly deep for a post about fast cars. Another fan keeps it super simple: “Dodge Charger all the way” with heart and fire emojis.

Here comes the Mayor of Off-topic-ville: “Have Helen drink a lot of tea and steam will transfer what’s on her face and neck into the emptying cup.” Nothing else! Pure chaos! Classic Instagram.

The requests soon grew louder. One begs for Vin to bring back the charger from the first installment of Fast & Furious, tagging a custom car page that recreated it. “Please use it at the very end of the movie,” the plea read, followed by a prayer emoji for added urgency.

That is when the emotional eruptions started. Another user in Portuguese pleads: “Please don’t end with the furious family.” Another full-on Spanish-drama one sings a very long cryptic rant calling somebody a “damn traitor,” without anything to do with cars or children.

“Haha, that would be a tough choice, Vin!” commented one of the users, keeping some lightheartedness flowing, along with “It’s all about those special moments that make each of us unique.”

And no Vin Diesel post could ever go without ‘Fast & Furious‘ being referenced: “That’s the Fast 7 charger, isn’t it?” one asked; another, allegedly, “The Charger hands down!” WITH sunglasses and shaka emoticon.

And then, of course, this random guy feeling nostalgic for his ’68 Camaro SS. Absolutely no connection to this post; pure car nostalgia!

The vagueness did its job-it set the stage for public discussion, reminiscing, and wild off-topic bursts in the comment section. Was he wetting the world for some Fast & Furious scoop or cracking the jug-either way: one doesn’t joke about someone’s cars. Or his fictional family, for that matter.

It also showed how the fans are connected to Vin beyond the stars. Some view him as a man bigger than just flesh and blood; some see him as a nostalgic cornerstone for their favorite car scenes; and some really just want him to bring that charger back to life. Either way, interaction is proof that even a really simple joke can bloom into a full-blown fan discussion-angry random theories, and emotional eruptions included.
