A hilarious moment, with Johnson and the laughs and wind, came about when Johnson famously happened across the skincare tutorial. The skincare video was uploaded by @walksauce42_. It was hilarious and very thoroughly dissecting the former wrestler’s skincare line, PapaTui. Johnson was highly amused about it; he reposted it with the caption, “Wasn’t sure what I was gonna see when that towel dropped 👀🥛😂Got a ton of @PapaTui_ coming your way and thanks for the laugh my dude! @walksauce42_.”

The better kind of tutorial. The creator took the humor route and performed an overly enthusiastic walk-through of every product, poking fun at common skincare influencer tropes. There was nail-tapping on bottles (sparked up a discussion in the comments), ridicule included claims about how under-eye patches work “more awake, youthful and confident,” to comedic advertising at its peak. One killer line kept going, “If The Rock came out and said to put cow dung on your face, my man would be trespassing at the local farm with a shovel in a heartbeat.” Johnson responded in pure delight and even vowed to send the creator some thank-you goodies for the laugh.

The comment section was full of entertainment too. For a while, folks were confused, thinking it was Johnson himself (“This is NOT the rock 😭”), while others praised it for its funniness. Someone reportedly said, “This is probably the best review Dwayne has seen,” and I have to honestly say: They probably are right. Another said, “In the next life, the Rock will be my father,” which is also an excellent comment. The funniest, though, come from those obsessed with the nail-tapping bit, “I love how he taps his nails on everything!!!” Someone said and turned into a mini-thread trying to figure out why influencers do it. (Spoiler: No one really knows. It’s hilarious, though.)

There were some who disagreed, wondering if it was satire or said, “It’s called marketing your brand.” But most just kept vibing. Some even testified to the power of the video in selling them on the product, “I’ve never wanted to buy a product more!” One admitted. And another answered, “Hubby is getting a gift bag so he can stop using my stuff!!”.

Since its launch, Johnson’s skincare range, Papatui, has slowly been building brand awareness, and it’s probably just what any brand would dream for—even to have that one chance. It has exfoliating scrub, toner, moisturizer, and those now famous under-eye patches, all chock-full of volcanic ash, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. And from the look of that video, we might say that these could just very well live up to their hype, and meme potential.

The reaction of Johnson, paired with that of the internet, almost goes to put the notion of “tough guys” in its place, in favor of good skincare—well, good enough to match the joke itself at least. So, whether for or against the products or the humor, that clip tore twice. And thrice if The Rock himself sends you a care package for getting him to crack a smile!
