James Maslow Announces Engagement With Heartfelt Post And Fans Lose It

James Maslow released one of those announcements that makes you reach for a bottle of champagne to celebrate the birth of a new love. The former Big Time Rush star shocked the internet by announcing his engagement with Caitlin Shey Spears on Instagram. The post was short and sweet: ‘Forever sounds good with you .’ Opposite literally, millions of hearts exploded all over the internet.

The comment thread was turned upside down as friends, fans, and nostalgic BTR stans poured in their congrats. @_itssbevy shouted, ‘OMGGGGGGG!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! BRB while I go cry,’ and honestly? Same. @connorericksen shared the vibe: ‘Congratulations it’s about time!!!!’ Yeah, we have been waiting for this.

@epeters_77 was a bit of a buzzkill, stating ‘It’s giving James Diamond ,’ because, really, the man does have some shine. That’s the thing about Maslow: he has been one for a lot of childhoods, and to just see him start this next chapter is kind of emotional whiplash for many.
