British comedian Jimmy Carr made jokes about the best way to burn calories, which caused mixed joy and disapproval. Carr is like other comedians who have darker sides to wit; so an entertainment treat was posted on Instagram, where he shared his dark humor in a few one-liners, delivered with utmost deadpan.

The clip showed Carr saying, “Did you know, for example, a half-hour session of love-making burns between 150 and 250 calories, which means every time I make love, I burn three calories?” The punchline drew laughter from the audience, and the other bit was delivered with similar deadpan: “Dolphins are actually gay sharks. And sharks are just bears that have been shaved and pushed into the sea.”

The negative comments started pouring in. Soon after, a critic chimed in, ‘Sorry for this, you moved to my boycott list,’ to which a sarcastic reply came, ‘Whatever will he do.’ The comment section then saw fights about originality, with one opinion stating, ‘Glee made the gay sharks joke first!’
