Parrilla gave fans a nice nostalgic trip with a gorgeous throwback from her time on Why Women Kill. The actress threw out a series of photos that seemed to talk about Rita Castillo with the utmost vintage Hollywood glamour consisting of shiny accessories and attitude to spare. Just imagine how unprepared the world was for that fourth photo.

The post set Lana off in a splashed red floral dress with a large brimed hat, pearl accessories, and gloves–old-time elegance and heavy-duty. Background drama consisted of majestic greenery and roses, which could probably be one of the reasons she credits costume designer Janie Bryant so much for making Rita Castillo a reality. But then there was this one photo; it was the sly, cheeky pose that got fans laughing in comments.

One wrote, “Uhhh…I wasn’t ready for that 4th picture,” while another said, “She knew what she was doing.” It was chaotic energy inside the replies; well, great, with fans spilling all over, switching between Spanish and English with their hurried praises. One fan gushed, “Lana María Parrilla, the woman that you are,” while another jokingly said, “Okay Regina!! I see you Queen,” a fabulous reference to her well-celebrated character in Once Upon a Time.

There was that whole ecstasy about Why Women Kill with fans commenting on rewatching the series. “I still watch this weekly!” one said, to which a comment added, “Just finished season 2 and loved it! You were absolutely regal.” There was even a teasing mention about the finale with a voice lamenting, “MY QUEEEENNNN (deserved a better ending wtf)”.

This post was not just a little bit of reminiscing, but more of a full-on tribute to what this character meant. The caption gushingly paid thanks to the whole cast and crew of the show, singling out Bryant’s costume magic. And really? The fuss about staying true to that time nearly, almost blackmailed us into pulling out the DVD for a binge.

Well, if I’m to be honest, the star was photo number four. Intentional or otherwise-pulling out every pose she had left, this lady made sure everyone talked about her. We’re not going to lie if this throwback is any indication-another iconic look might just be around the corner. Until then, we will just keep on…watching Why Women Kill for the tenth time.
