Maluma Celebrates Epic Mexico City Show With Masked Fan Moment

This concert must have been beyond the realm of amazement for Maluma, or one can say we are lucky to hear about it since it lasted for three sold-out nights in Mexico City with the city still riding high on the thrill. The Colombian superstar gave a cryptic yet hype-raising caption; “3 DE 3 ! + PRETTY 🤍 + DIRTY 🖤 CDMX 09/08/25 🇲🇽👑” on his Instagram along with an oh-so-theatrical shot. In the resulting image, he would be already masked Lucha Libre-style and performing while holding the mike in his tattooed hands, almost drenched in moody lighting. The spectacle vibe went to show that it was full-on energy, and the city of Mexico was so up on it.

Very little was said in the post, but the comments were chaotic mixes of love, drama, and one impassioned fan moment that the world is talking about. Most of the comments consist of the usual praises such as “Mexico te ama rey” or “El mejor concierto del mundo,” but there were some really funny comments. Like one guy probably still riding the high of being there saying, “Yo era uno de esos puntitos 😭” that very clearly refers to the sea of people in the crowd, and then another person adds, “Verte no fue suficiente cántame en la cara porfa.” Desperation.

But not everyone is there for the atmosphere. Another one went scorched-earth accusing Maluma of humiliating one fan publicly during the show. The lengthy rant accuses him of failing to ensure proper accommodations for her experience and then ridicules his ego with a statement: “SI TE SOBRA AL FIN Y AL CABO, PERO ESA PARTE TE FALTO SIEMPRE,, LA HUMILDAD.” Oof. Still no word on the matter from Maluma, but the fan community is split with some agreeing to it and some dismissing it as blown out of proportion.

Now things were looking sweet again: @caristico_official tagged himself in some posts, thanking Maluma for wearing the mask during the performance and calling it a true honor. The replies were filled with nostalgia, with at least one commenter calling the luchador their childhood idol. And another account was attempting to enlist Maluma for a K-pop fan voting campaign. This one is gold.

And yet, the love from Mexico continued unabated: multiple comments roared with “México con M de Maluma,” which, frankly, may soon become an official slogan for the city after three consecutive nights of sold-out shows. The post gives away nothing about what went down down there; at the very least, with the mask, tats, and band-wielding fury from the crowd, the event can be called just that—a full-blown event, not a mere concert. And of course, the caption bears a date for the following year (that is 09/08/25!), so the second round definitely awaits them in Mexico.

Drama? It’ll blow over. Maluma’s always been used to the noise, and his fans? They’re too busy counting down to the next show to care.
