Rob McElhenney Praises Mickey And Archie As True Inspirations

An actor as well as co-owner of Wrexham AFC, Rob McElhenney, has made sincere little tweet, which really got people talking. It was a picture with those two he had referred to as ‘two of the strongest’ he has ever met-Mickey Thomas and Archie-and packed a lot of emotions in a simple final note, a big red heart.

First of all, who are Mickey and Archie? Mickey Thomas is, as a matter-of-factly put, a very cool football legend. Ask anyone about these two teams, and they’ll probably say Manchester United and Wrexham. Archie, on the other hand, was a kid who appeared to “have a lot of heart,” based on some of the replies people had. One even mentioned that Archie is a soldier and is a son of their friend. So yes, it was quite an impression these two must have left on Rob.
Rob’s audience invoked very mean notices and then went retro with straight adoration. One of them called Mickey ‘A Bona Fide living Legend’ and praised Rob by the worldview he embraced. One other joined in with some cheeky suggestion that Rob should ask Mickey whether he knew the goal he had scored against Arsenal- Mickey never brings it up. Classic banter, one would say.
Then there were those who just wanted to praise Rob, and that is what he gets for being a good human-being. Someone said, ‘Thanks for being you, Rob, so kind and caring,’ which would make sense in and of itself, typo now included. Another was talking about how Rob and Ryan Reynolds had really put money into Wrexham, not into ”boats and spaceships.” That reply really got into “what real money can do to uplift an entire community.”
Of the devoted ones, heavy always showed on Wrexham. One shouted out “retro jerseys now!!!!” Heaven knows what that meant-as if owning a football club necessarily means that one’s fans are ever going to be satisfied with requests-so prosperous is this empty-life-selling. Another just dropped ”Diolch o galon”, for the Welsh ‘thanks from the heart’, showing just how much Rob’s involvement goes down in the community.
That whole thread was a vibe. It responded to Rob’s tweet, but also brought in a lot of personal stories, banter, and of course, some teary faces. Such is witnessing sport with minimal drama and fuss be set asunder by a common bond. To say in some quarters, this is a collection of good humans doing good.

Definitely, it is another one of those short-tweet events that has added to the volume to African spectroscopy. That’s not about football or fame, really, but being connected. And this exactly is what Rob and Wrexham seem to have nailed. Be it Mickey’s legendary status or Archie’s quiet strength, everyone got the message: there is much more to true strength than mere skill or fame. It’s heart.
